Meet Melissa Montanez

A Briefcase Full of Dreams

When choosing a career, Melissa knew she wanted a job with growth potential, a steady schedule for her new family, and a reason to dress nicely and carry a briefcase.  Instead, what she got was an opportunity to help people turn their dreams into reality.

In 2001, Melissa entered the world of banking as a part-time teller at a community bank in Vero Beach. To learn more, she shadowed the bankers and helped the bank’s leadership with projects.  Shortly thereafter, she became a personal banker and quickly found that she enjoyed talking to clients with new families, new jobs, or new business ventures. Her desire to help them plan for the future, plot their next steps, and stay on track came naturally to her, and in 2007, she was rewarded with her own branch.

In 2022, she joined Marine Bank and was instrumental in opening the Bank’s first St. Lucie banking center in Fort Pierce. Today, Melissa is the bank manager of the Bank’s flagship office, the Vero Beachside location.

“I love coming to work because of the people. Whether it’s my co-workers collaborating on solutions or clients looking for a path toward their goals, they all spark my passion every day.”

Melissa has lived in Vero Beach since she was a year old. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Ivan, has two beautiful daughters, Katelyn and Taylor, and a four-legged fur baby, Max. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and working on my physical health including participating in obstacle races like the Spartan Race (pictured).

“Life is short, and time is precious. We need to spend it doing what we love and who we love doing it with.”
