Meet Marie Evans
Growing with Marine
When Fort Pierce native Marie Evans joined Marine as a teller in November of 2001, there was one branch and six employees. Marie was lucky number seven.
“I felt lucky because I was looking for a career where I could help clients and work with colleagues who shared that desire. I can’t imagine a better fit for me.”
Over the next two decades, Marie would work at several branches and fill several roles from teller to personal banker.
“The best part of any role for me has been introducing clients to new banking products that will make managing their finances easier. Over the years, technology such as online banking, mobile banking, cash management, and mobile apps have presented me with many opportunities to do just that.”
While technology was growing, so was Marine. Today there are more than 75 members of Team Marine working in five full-service locations in three counties, an operations center and a commercial and residential lending center.
A graduate of St. Anastasia and John Caroll High School, Marie was encouraged to return to school by her significant other Jim, and earned her AA in Organizational Business Management from Indian River State College. He also urged her to get her passport which she has put to good use traveling all over Europe.
Marie is so popular with our Vero Beachside clients that when she is traveling, they fear that she has left Marine. Her history with our clientele enable her to provide unparalleled service.
Together for 18 years, Marie and Jim live in Melbourne and have a daughter and two adorable grandchildren. She is an active volunteer with the United Way and a former volunteer with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, the Melbourne Arts Festival and the March of Dimes.
