Meet Gabriel Delgado
A Passion for Teaching
Knowing the profound impact finances can have on someone’s life, Gabriel was attracted to a career in banking with hopes that he could help people make the right financial decisions. Almost three decades later, his desire to help others has evolved into a passion for teaching.
“Rather than just tell a client what I think is the best loan option, cash management service, or banking solution for them, I found that I enjoyed educating them. By communicating their options and helping them understand, I was able to help them make informed decisions.”
In May 2021, Gabriel joined Marine Bank as Senior Vice President/Residential Lending Director. He is tasked with leading the sales team, implementing and establishing partner and vendor relationships.
“Marine Bank and our community are a perfect match. Everyone is willing to help each other do better. We lift each other up. We are fortunate to have real estate partners who trust our expertise and invite us to share best practices with their members, clients or staff. That’s a great vote of confidence that motivates us to stay up to date on what’s happening in our industry and in our market.”
Gabriel’s passion for teaching isn’t limited to clients, he’s also a mentor to his team. “After 28 years in banking, I’ve got a lot of experience to share. But above all else, I stress the importance of listening. It’s the best way to understand others, build relationships and learn new information.”
Born in Havana, Cuba, Gabriel has lived in Florida for more than 40 years and currently resides in Port St. Lucie with Alexandria, his wife of 24 years, and their 19-year-old son Adrian. He is an avid fan of the Barcelona Football Club, Miami Hurricanes, Dolphins and Heat. He enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with his family.
