The residential lending team of Marine Bank hosted an informative breakfast seminar for more than 80 local realtors and brokers at the Quail Valley Club on November 14th. The presentation, “Housing and Demographic Update” was presented by noted real estate scholar Ken H. Johnson, PhD, the associate dean of graduate programs in Florida Atlantic University’s College of Business.

Dr. Johnson’s presentation focused on the stability of the Florida housing market. Despite inflation and rising interest rates, he stated that the odds of a housing market crash are highly unlikely, citing high demand and short supply.

“For 26 years, Marine Bank has been a reliable partner for our local real estate agents and brokers by making their clients feel comfortable and confident throughout the mortgage process,” said Bill Penney, president and CEO of Marine Bank.  “We also want them to think of us as a trusted resource.  We hope Dr. Johnson’s insights on the current housing market will benefit them and enable them to navigate a market shift with greater confidence.”
